Here are some some helpful resources to help you get started at Mountainside Preschool.
Our Parent Handbook provides information about our program that we hope will answer any questions or concerns you may have. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. Therefore, we would like to work in partnership with you to provide the best possible start for your child. Please contact us if you have any further questions.
Our learning philosophy is that preschoolers learn best through their senses. We focus on active learning through play, music, games, stories, crafts, field trips, and social interactions. Our curriculum will meet and exceed our district’s standards as well as the Common Core Standards without losing the joy of learning, discovering and playing. Parents will receive evaluations twice a year (Feb, May).
In case of inclement weather, please listen to your radio or television for announcements about the Northern York County School District. If Northern School District is closed, Mountainside will be closed. However, if Northern has a 2-hour delay then Mountainside will also have a 2-hour delay and all classes will be held from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Delays and closings will also be posted on the website home page.
Classes that are cancelled due to bad weather are not to be deducted from monthly tuition rates.
